Head Coach

Although Connor has only a few seasons of coaching under his belt, he has dove head first into his passion and has proven to be one of the top up & coming high-performance coaches in the province.

In addition to his role as one of our Head Coaches, Connor is also the Recruitment Coordinator for Simcoe United. His recent experience as a player at the elite prep, CCAA & USport level has given Connor the opportunity to make connections with many post-secondary programs at various levels. These connections combined with his first hand knowledge of the recruiting process, gives Connor the unique ability to help support our athletes recruitment.

Fueled by a strong work ethic and showing excellent potential, Connor earned the opportunity to be the first athlete from Barrie to play for Athlete Institute (now Orangeville Prep). While there he played alongside and trained with future NBA players Jamal Murray & Thon Maker. Throughout his post-secondary playing career, was the epitome of a student-athlete. In addition to being recognized as an OCAA All-Star, Connor was also a 2x CCAA Academic All-Canadian and a 2x USport Academic All-Canadian.

“In my twelve years as a USport head coach, Scott Seeley was the player that was most dedicated to improving his abilities which resulted in a small town kid becoming one of the best USport players in Ontario. As a coach, he brings that same dedication and drive to helping young players in the area reach their potential and beyond. He is an excellent teacher of the game and has firsthand experience in how to best maximize one’s abilities on the basketball court. The dedicated & driven kids in Simcoe County are very lucky to have a program like Simcoe United Basketball in their region. I encourage anyone looking to improve their skills, maximize their ability and learn what it takes to play at the next level, to take advantage of this great program.”

“I had the privilege of playing 3 amazing seasons under head coach, Mike Tutty. Based on my experiences, there is not a doubt in my mind that Mike is an outstanding basketball coach. More importantly however, he is an even better human being. Because of the amount of time he dedicates to the development of his players, the way he leads by example, and his burning desire to win, it is undeniable that there is no other coach I’d rather play for. Additionally, it is important to mention that Mike played a crucial role in my growth both on and off the court. He has always checked in on me and made me feel comfortable asking questions about basketball and life.”
