Head Coach

For the past 18 years, Scott has been a coach at the high school, club, & post-secondary levels.

As a coach and trainer, he has had tremendous team and player development success. With 14 GBSSA high school championships in various coaching roles and over 30 players coached that have gone on to play in USport or NCAA, Scott has a proven track record of guiding high level players and teams to reach their full potential.

As a high school player growing up in Thunder Bay, Scott used a determined work ethic to earn offers from several of the top schools across the country including Western University & Univ. of British Columbia. While splitting time between Western Univ. & Lakehead Univ, Scott was a 2x Academic All-Canadian, an OUA All-Star (2005/06), and was top 10 in the OUA in FG%, 3PT%, FT%, APG, & SPG in his final year.

Scott currently resides in Barrie with his wife and is a high school phys ed teacher at Maple Ridge SS.

“In my twelve years as a USport head coach, Scott Seeley was the player that was most dedicated to improving his abilities which resulted in a small town kid becoming one of the best USport players in Ontario. As a coach, he brings that same dedication and drive to helping young players in the area reach their potential and beyond. He is an excellent teacher of the game and has firsthand experience in how to best maximize one’s abilities on the basketball court. The dedicated & driven kids in Simcoe County are very lucky to have a program like Simcoe United Basketball in their region. I encourage anyone looking to improve their skills, maximize their ability and learn what it takes to play at the next level, to take advantage of this great program.”
